Team Drammers:

Charlie Prince - President

Charlie missed the first meeting back in 2013, but has been to pretty much every meeting since. He has spearheaded the effort to expand the club from 10 people meeting at a local Chinese restaurant in 2013 to 1200 people in 12 cities, and has attended almost every meeting around the world to ensure that the club has a consistent culture globally. He is generally responsible for securing all guest speakers, organizing our exclusive bottling program, sourcing rare bottles for events, and he heads up the NYC, LA and London chapters. He has a particular soft-spot for Old Weller red cap bourbon and any kind of jabali mezcal.

Stephen Winch - Founder

Stephen Winch founded the club in 2013 when he was a leading whisk(e)y and spirits specialist at Astor Wines & Spirits in NYC, and this is actually a photo from our second ever meeting! He stepped down in 2014 when he moved back to his hometown of London to work for The Whisky Exchange. Although he is no longer involved in organizing the club, and thinks Charlie is a little crazy for expanding it as far as he has, he is a regular attendee at our Drammers London meetings.

Keith Chong - Former President

Keith was president of the Club throughout 2015 after Stephen moved back to London. He decided to step down at the end of that year to study for an advanced graduate degree for the Hospital of Special Surgery where he works, but he still helps run our NYC events, and occasionally steps in when Charlie’s not available. You can see him here pictured with Glenmorangie’s Brendan McCarron, from when Drammers NYC joined the Ardbeg Day event in 2017. His go-to drink alternates between a Springbank 18 and Barrell Bourbon.

Marlon Tulaszewski - Former Co-President

Marlon joined as co-president of the Club from 2016 to mid-2019 alongside Charlie, when the club was rapidly growing in NYC. He had to step down from his organizing role in mid-2019 because his events company Ardent Hospitality was growing so fast that he needed to focus on it fulltime. Marlon was actually Charlie’s favorite bartender in the city back when Marlon was working at Brandy Library in NYC, so it’s only appropriate that Marlon’s working on opening a new high-end whisky bar downtown, which we hope to make our de facto Drammers clubhouse to meet prospective new members.

Zareen Durrani - Head of Cocktail After-Party Program

Zareen joined the club in 2018 and immediately fell in love with it. In addition to helping run the NYC events, she brings to the club a deep knowledge of the cocktail scene in NYC and oversees our after-party program, where we go to celebrate the great cocktail artists in the city. She loves a good whisky, but her go-to drinks are a vieux carre or an old fashioned.

Clarke Boyer - Denver Chapter Head

Clarke first presented to the Club as a guest speaker in 2016 when he was the national brand ambassador for Ardbeg and Glenmorangie, and he quickly became a regular attendee at our events. Today, in addition to helping organize our Denver events, he works as the West Coast Brand Ambassador for The Scotch Malt Whisky Society, and is also preparing to launch WhiskyInc.com as a premiere site for whisky content, news and information.

Paul Saba - Mexico City Chapter Head

Paul helped us launch the Mexico City chapter of Drammers Club in January 2019. In addition to being a passionate champion of all things Cuba, Paul is the CEO of Sibari Group, a wine and spirits importer and distributor of fine spirits such as Smokehead Islay single malt scotch whisky and Santero and Mulata rums from Cuba. Not surprisingly, his go-to drink is a Cuban rum!

Rohan Mirchandani - Mumbai Chapter Head

Rohan had been to several of our NYC chapter meetings, and was the perfect person to help us launch our Mumbai chapter in early 2019. In addition to knowing his way around a good whisky (and even better people!), he is the co-founder and CEO of Drums Food International, which among other things makes the addictively delicious Epigamia yogurt.

Alexis - Paris Chapter Head

Alexis has been a regular attendee at our Paris chapter since we started doing events there in August 2018, and recently took the reins organizing Drammers Paris from Keenan Popwell (our former Paris chapter head, who is now working on getting a chapter going in Berlin!). Like several of our Paris chapter members, Alexis usually takes a turn at the turntables for a while during our Paris meetings!

Chris LaCarrubba - Portland Chapter Head

Chris was one of the original 10 Drammers, back when a handful of us would meet each month at a Chinese restaurant in NYC in 2013. Now he heads up our PDX chapter, which launched in November 2019, where — in addition to his extensive whiskey knowledge, he works as a counselor at Portland’s Lincoln High School.

Yoni Miller - Stamford Chapter Head

Yoni has been a longtime regular member of our NYC chapter, and so it was only natural once he moved to Stamford that he would launch our chapter there, which we did in December 2019. In addition to his day job in banking, he doubles as jack-of-all-trades (that we care about here at Drammers Club anyway) — he’s an expert in whisk(e)y, beer and especially cigars, even releasing his own line of cigars last year that were aged in Single Cask Nation whisky barrels!

IMG_0504.JPG

Yechiel Ben-Zvi - Tel Aviv Chapter Head

Yechiel helped us launch the Tel Aviv chapter to great success in November 2018. He brings with him an incredible knowledge of whisky, as (among other things) a graduate of the Springbank Whisky School and currently the head distiller and co-founder at Verstill, where he makes whisky and other spirits almost every day.

Maks Stempniewicz - Warsaw Chapter Head

Maks (pictured here at the jaw-dropping DOM Whisky in Warsaw) had attended a number of our NYC chapter meetings, and approached us because he knew his whisky friends in Warsaw would get it immediately. We launched our Warsaw chapter in September 2018 and it has quickly become one of our most vibrant chapters globally. When he’s not busy spreading the good word about fine brown spirits, he’s busy working as a startup and entrepreneur consultant.
