May 13: Drammers Denver with Arik Torren of Derrumbes Mezcal

$40.00

Drammers Denver - join us for a spirits tasting this Friday at 7pm. Guest Speaker Arik Torren from Derrumbes will be chatting with us about their incredible mezcal.

Where: 1029 E 8th Ave, Apt 1104 Denver, CO 80218

(Look up Zareen Durrani in the directory up front)

When: May 13 at 7pm

How much? $30 (members) / $40 (observers)

We’re thrilled to welcome Arik as our guest speaker for this special edition of Drammers Denver! Arik is well know and much loved in mezcal circles, representing many of our favorite mezcal and Raicilla brands in the states. For this event we’ll be focusing on Derrumbes mezcal, which is unusual in part because most of the lineup comes from outside Oaxaca (where the overwhelming majority of mezcal is made). We’ll be tasting through their entire portfolio, including mezcal from Tamaulipas, Durango, San Luis Potosi, Zacatecas and Michoacan. These mezcals feature a wide variety of agave types. And since mezcal is so impacted by the soil and climate where its made, trying mezcal from this wide a range of regions will give you an especially deep understanding of how varied mezcal can taste!

We hope you can join us! We’ll order in some food (likely pizza) to make sure nobody’s drinking on an empty stomach (which is Included in the price of the tasting). Cheers!
