Hello NYC Drammers — we’re throwing an event in Ridgewood at the cool cocktail bar Aftermath!
And it’s a great event at that! We’re thrilled to invite you to a special event on Saturday, September 27th at 5pm with a special guest speaker — Annabel Thomas, founder of Nc’Nean - Organic Single Malt Scotch. She’s in town from Scotland to talk about the whisky distillery she founded, and how she made it not just an organic distillery, but one of only two distilleries in the world that is B Corp certified, (the are also verified as net zero carbon emissions for scopes 1 and 2). For those who know what those qualifications mean, it’s no joke, this is not a brand just tossing around the word “organic” lightly, and it’s especially remarkable in the energy hungry process that goes into making Scotch whisky. It's not an exaggeration that their focus on producing an organic and sustainable product is changing the industry's thinking about production. We’ve had the pleasure of welcoming Annabel a number of times over the years, but it’s been two years since we’ve been able to welcome here in NYC, which is far too long! And since then, her excellent whisky has continued to rack up some of the most impressive awards in the industry, recently winning a Double Gold from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, a Gold from IWSC, and a Great Taste Award Gold Star. We’ll be tasting 6 Nc’Nean expressions at this event, including two single casks and two special limited edition bottlings:

A big thank you to Mike Pepper for organizing and to Aftermath for hosting us! They are a cool cocktail bar located at: 16-80 Madison Street, Ridgewood, NY 11385, right in the middle of all the Bushwick/Ridgewood action, which is great! We’ll be ordering light snacks from the bar, which is included with your ticket. And of course, hopefully not an issue in NYC, but of course nobody should drive home after the event, we’ll be drinking a bunch of great, high-proof whisky after all!
