We’re thrilled to announce a special online tasting with the General Manager of the legendary independent bottler Cadenheads on Saturday, Nov. 29th at Noon Pacific / 3pm EST in the US and 20:00 in Scotland. If you’re not familiar with Cadenhead's, well, you’re in for a treat. They have built up an incredible reputation as Scotland's oldest independent bottler of Scotch and other fine whiskies and their releases remain very sought-after today. Our guest speaker, Cameron McGeachy today holds the Cadenheads torch with the responsibility of finding, maturing and releasing great whiskies on par with Cadenhead's incredible history, and he's damn good at it (not to mention an incredibly knowledgeable and nice guy).
This tasting features 10 expressions:
Cadenheads Enigma 16 year old. A distillery-exclusive release that was only available for one day this past May at the Campbeltown Malts Festival. It is a blended malt comprising a cask of hazelburn, a cask of kilkerran and 2 casks of Orkney distillate. Age stated 16 years and 53.6% abv with 1230 bottles.
Enigma 25yo Blended - Distilled in1998, Cask Type(S): Refill Butts, No. Of Bottles: 5850, 41.4% abv.
Enigma Lowlands 11yo - (Distillery Not Disclosed), Matured in Refill Oloroso, Released May 2025 (Low.1.B), 46.0% abv
Auchroisk Manzanilla 14yo - Matured in Manzanilla Casks, 46.0% abv
Glen Elgin-Glenlivet 12yo - Matured in Palo Cortado Casks, 46.0% abv
Glen Garioch 11yo - Matured in Bourbon and Fino sherry Casks, 46.0% abv
Seven Star. This is a historic Blended Scotch Whisky, originally bottled many decades ago to demonstrate that exquisite whisky could be created by blending carefully selected casks from the vast array of stock they owned in their warehouses. Cadenheads recently resurrected the 7-Stars label using whisky from distilleries all over Scotland, which is then finished in Oloroso sherry casks. 46.0% abv
