We’re excited to announce a special tasting with G4 Tequila on Monday, June 23rd at 5pm Pacific / 8pm Eastern. We’ve done a lot with various mezcal brands over the years (and we’ll continue to do so!) but we decided this year we especially wanted to explore deeper into tequila, which as everyone knows is a type of mezcal made from the azul or blue agave, predominantly in the state of Jalisco. When we asked around to the members which tequila brands they would be interested to learn more about, this name came up over and over — G4 Tequila. This tequila is made by the Camarena family, which has been making tequila in Los Altos de Jalisco since 1937, though the brand we know today as G4 was created in 2011 (the name is a reference to the fact that the family has been making tequila for four generations. The distillery is the El Pandillo Distillery (NOM 1579). We’ll be tasting an array of their releases including:

• G4 Blanco Tequila

• G4 Blanco de Madera (Fermented in Wood), using well water (unlike the other blanco editions)

• G4 Blanco - High Proof Tequila

• G4 Reposado Tequila

• G4 Reposado de Madera - Day of the Dead Edition - Aged for 7 months, 1of 10,000 bottles released. Fermented in pine wood tanks, made using deep well water.
