We're excited to announce a new online Kilchoman event on Sunday, September 21st starting at Noon Pacific / 3pm in the US / 20:00 in Scotland. Our guest speaker will be James Wills, Sales & Marketing Manager at Kilchoman, and the son of Kilchoman's founder Anthony Wills.  Longtime members may recall we had the pleasure of welcoming James in person back in October of 2018, and again online on January 28, 2021 for a tasting and barrel pick event, followed by annual online events each year that feature their ultra-rare Feis Ile bottlings (which you can watch here), and we welcomed him in person for a string of events in New Jersey last year. 

Well, we were back with James and the team on Islay this past May for their big annual festival (Feis Ile) and of course as always they released a special Feis Ile bottling on their day of the festival, which sold out in a few hours, but naturally we picked up a couple bottles so that you, our members, could get a chance to try them. This mega-tasting will feature 10 expressions, including the Feis bottle, another distillery excluisve bottling we picked up at Feis, 5 new limited edition bottlings that have just arrived into the US market, and more:

  • Feis Ile 2025 Official Bottling - 100% Islay Madeira Casks, aged 9 years, 2 cask-vatting, only 615 bottles released (we’ll be drinking 2 of them), 57.5% abv, 20PPM. Available exclusively at the distillery for a few hours on May 29, 2025, sold out in about an hour.

  • Feis Ile 2025 - Fill Your Own “Be a Bottler” Single Cask. They turned this single cask into an event at the festival this year, and you bought tickets to go into the warehouse to fill the bottle yourself. This is a 6yo expression aged in a STR Oloroso cask, single cask 18/681.  56% abv. Available exclusively at the distillery on March 29th, during Feis Ile 2025.

  • Loch Gorm 2025 - 10yo (Brand New Release). Loch Gorm 2025 Edition is the first ever Loch Gorm aged for over 10 years in Oloroso Sherry butts. Anthony selected 23 Oloroso Sherry butts in total, 20 fresh (first fill) and 3 refill (second fill). “10 years maturation in Sherry casks has added an abundance of rich spices, dark fruit, and barbecue sweetness to the light citrus and peaty character of Kilchoman” ~Anthony Wills, Kilchoman Founder.

  • New Kilchoman 13 Year (Brand New Release). Following the landmark release of our 16 Year Old in 2023, we have another age statement to bring you in 2025. This limited release has been matured for 13 years in a combination of bourbon barrels, octaves and calvados casks. The whisky exudes an abundance of juicy fresh fruits, intense sweetness and waves of Islay maritime peat smoke. “After the overwhelming response to our 16 Years Old, I’m excited to announce the release of another age statement Kilchoman – The 13 Years Old. The ex-bourbon casks make up the large part of the vatting, lending that unmistakable Kilchoman character, while the addition of calvados casks, which may surprise a few people, infuses vibrant green apple and fresh fruit notes into the mix.” Anthony Wills, Kilchoman Founder

  • Kilchoman Cask Evolution 14yo Calvados Finish (Brand New Release). This single cask was just released, exclusive to their US importer Impex Beverages. It was matured in an ex-bourbon barrel for 11 years, then finished for a further 3 years in a Calvados cask. 01/25 51.7% abv.

  • Kilchoman Cask Evolution Muscatel Finish (Brand New Release). Another single cask bottled exclusively for their US importer, this Impex Cask Evolution 02/25 is a 5 Year Old Muscatel Barrique, which was matured for 5 years in a Moscat barrique. During its maturation, the Moscat cask has added layers of honeysuckle and stoned fruit which balance beautifully with the natural citrus and peat smoke character of Kilchoman single malts. 700mL, 58.4% ABV.

  • Kilchoman Cask Evolution Madeira Finish (Brand New Release). Impex Cask Evolution 03/25 9 Year Old Madeira Cask This single cask, distilled from Kilchoman’s 2014 barley harvest was again bottled exclusively for ImpEx Beverages. It was matured for 9 years in a Madeira wine cask. During its maturation, the Madeira cask has added layers of rich fruit and tobacco which balance beautifully with the natural citrus and peat smoke character of Kilchoman single malts. 700mL, 56.5% ABV.

  • Kilchoman 100% Islay 14th ed. This is one of the most sought-after of the Kilchoman range — their annual limited edition 100% Islay series (so, the key difference vs. their other whiskies is this whisky is made entirely with barley grown on Islay. The 100% Islay 14th Edition was distilled from their 2013 and 2014 barley harvests before being matured in selected bourbon and oloroso sherry casks for a minimum of 9 years. This year, Anthony Wills, Kilchoman founder, has decided on a cask ratio of Bourbon 9:1 Oloroso Sherry.

  • 100% Islay Cask Single Cask 9yo - Cask Evolution. Next we’ll try a single cask variant of their 100% islay whisky. This is Cask Number: 452/2014, which was filled into the barrel on 20 August 2014, bottled on July 1, 2024, and was aged all 9 years in an ex-bourbon barrel. 56.3% ABV

  • Drammers Single Cask Pick STR Finish. Of course, we couldn’t not include our own Drammers single cask pick, finished for 14 months in an STR cask. Cask #2011/227. 50 PPM / 53.4% abv
